One of the best Amateur Golf Tournaments in the nation has come to Seattle and the Puget Sound.

2008 American Amateur Championship - Golf Tournament

The Format is simple:

  • 54 Hole Individual Stroke Play

  • Sign up for tournament as your established USGA handicap indicates  
    For Example:  John Smith is a #12 handicap

  • You will be put in a Flight of similar or same handicaps (maximum of 36 players per flight) 
    For Example: John Smith plays against all 12 handicaps.

  • Each of the first 3 days you will play a new course.  All players in a flight play the same course the same day.

  • After the 3rd Round - Qualifying players from each flight will play Chambers Bay on Sunday July 27, 2008 for a chance to win their flight in the "Sunday Showdown."  Announcement will be made at Tacoma Golf Show, Saturday at appx 5pm.

  • After the "Sunday Showdown" at Chambers Bay -  There will be a closing award ceremony. 

  • In Addition:
    Players Advancing to the "Sunday Showdown" round at Chambers Bay will also receive additional prizes

    Players winning their Flight (total score from all 4 Rounds) will win "Flight Champion" Prize Package

    The lowest net score from all 4 rounds, from all flights will be awarded the coveted "AAC" Trophy,
    "AAC" Champion Prize package, fame, fortune, and most importantly being the one and only crowned
    "2008 American Amateur Champion"
